EASTER EGG COLOR & HUNT-All children oftheparish are invited to color Easter eggs onSaturday, March 28, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.Each child will be provided with one dozen eggs. Sign up is on the piano in the Parish Hall. Contact Shawna Knickerbocker with any questions.
PALM SUNDAY-Sunday, March 29, 10:30 a.m. (This will be the ONLY service this weekend). Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, when crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and laying them on the road. The day also begins the journey toward the events of Holy Week and Jesus’ suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection later in the week.
MAUNDY THURSDAY-Thursday, April 2, 7:00 p.m.TheThursday in Holy Week is part oftheTriduum, or three holy days before Easter.The ceremony of washing feet was also referred to as “the Maundy.” Maundy Thursday commemorates the institution of th eeucharist by Jesus “on the night he was betrayed.”
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION-Spend an hour with Christ.Eucharistic adoration is devotional of the real presence of Christ in the consecrated bread and wine of the eucharist. This will be in the Bledsoe Chapel from 8:00 p.m. (after the Maundy Thursday service) through 8:00 a.m. Friday, April 3.The sign up sheet is outside of Fr. David’s office.
STATIONS OFTHECROSS (WAY OFTHECROSS)-Friday, April 3, 12:00 p.m. A devotion to the Passion of Christ which recalls the events at the end of Jesus' life from his condemnation to his burial.
GOOD FRIDAY-April 3, 7:00 p.m. The Friday before Easter Day commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus.Thel iturgy of the day includes John's account of the Passion gospel,the solemn collects and devotions before the cross.The Eucharist is not celebrated in the Episcopal Church on Good Friday, but Holy Communion will be administered from the reserved sacrament.
THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER-Saturday, April 4,8:00 p.m. The first celebration of Easter.The service begins after sunset and consists of four parts:The Service of Light (kindling of new fire, lighting the Paschal candle, the Exsultet); The Service of Lessons (readings from the Hebrew Scriptures interspersed with Psalms, Canticles, and prayers); Christian Initiation (Holy Baptism) or the Renewal of Baptismal Vows; and the Eucharist.
EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE ON THE LABYRINTH-April 5, 6:45 a.m. As the sun rises, the congregation gathers in this sacred outdoor space for prayer, scripture, and celebration, proclaiming the joy of the risen Christ. In the quiet beauty of the morning, the service marks the hope and new life of Easter as the first light of day appears.

FLOWERING OF THE CROSS-During Easter Sunday service. Parents — bring flowers with you Easter morning so the children can flower the Easter cross.
