Meet the Rector

Welcome to Emmanuel Episcopal Church!

Thanks for visiting our Web site. We hope you’ll take time to look around and get an idea of what we are all about.

Better yet, we warmly invite you to come visit us and participate in worship here. Emmanuel Church is a friendly gathering of folks in the Bristol area who are committed to growing as followers of Christ and as servants to our community. We come from many walks of life, but are joined by a spirit of generosity and mutual respect.

If you have any other questions about our parish, its ministries, or its worship, please call or e-mail us and we would be happy to assist you.

Yours in Christ,
Mark Frazier

Mark William Frazier was previously Rector of St. David’s Episcopal Church in DeWitt, NY. He and his wife of 20 y, Amy LB Frazier, have 4 daughters – Anna (8 y), Emilia (8 y), Evelyn (7 y), and Margaret (4 y) – and a chocolate Labrador Retriever (Kephas, 9 mo). Mark is a native of Memphis, TN, and is a graduate of The University of Tennessee – Martin, Vanderbilt University, and The School of Theology at the University of the South. Before ordination in 2001, Mark was involved in cancer research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. He is a ‘bibliomaniac,’ has spent long hours perfecting the definitive gumbo recipe, wishes he could have jammed with John Coltrane, and hopes to one day hike the entire Appalachian Trail.
